Why would 94 accord Power Locks only work with door closed?
I have a 94 accord and the driver side door power locks only work with door closed. The passenger side works fine. I have tried with door almost closed but not latched and it won't work.
I can leave the door open and push the latch closed and then the power locks will work. Also i do have a little trouble turning the key manually once and a while. I was thinking that my problem is probably in the lock assembly, but not sure. I just recently bought car and it does have a keyless entry and remote starter on it but i do not have remote. Not sure if it could be interfering with door lock or not. Any help would be great.
its kinda of a safety feature like if you keys are still in the car and you accidently hit the lock button and close the door it wont lock on you
